Perry Burns: B.Sc. MInstD AIBA FInstSMM

Perry started his career with NCR where he completed his training in Sales and marketing, specialising in the General Retail, Oil and Hospitality sectors.

Moving into the financial sector, he worked as a regional sales manager for US Leasing Ltd where he used his computer knowledge to develop leasing plans for a number of major computer manufacturers including Wang and later Tandy and Wordplex. 

This expertise was further refined during a brief spell with Atlantic Computers PLC, then the most successful of the 5 IBM leasing Companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. On leaving Atlantic, Perry worked in the computer brokerage business for a short while before joining Pallas Systems (a subsidiary of SG Warburg) to run the ICL leasing programme "Exchange Hire". Perry was promoted to his first Board appointment in 1989 and went on to develop a number of strategically important relationships including Sun Microsystems. 

Perry left Pallas after their acquisition by GE Capital and then worked for Alcatel Telecommunications as Sales Director in their Large Voice Systems unit. When this division closed down, he joined Ernst and Young as Sales Director in the Entrepreneurial Services division and later in the Energy Chemical & Utilities practice. He was promoted in 2000 to be Regional Sales Director responsible for all sales in the London region. 

Perry left Ernst & Young in October 2001 to set up his own sales consultancy practice. As well as sales and marketing consultancy, he also works with clients on strategy and business planning.

Age 51. Married with three teenage daughters. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of London.
